Through a national partnership between Special Olympics Mexico and Lions Clubs of Mexico, Dr. Torres has become an honorary member of the Veracruz Lions Club, and has been selected to serve as the national representative for the flagship partnership program, Opening Eyes.
The national partnership has brought volunteer support, public awareness and mobilization to the entire Special Olympics Healthy Athletes program. Through the community leadership offered by Lions Clubs, Special Olympics athletes are able to count on the commitment of Lions as part of their sports experience, and life experience.
“I am deeply moved, and greatly appreciative,” said Dr. Torres. “We are blessed to share such a wonderful, and growing, relationship with the Lions Clubs of Mexico, and I know that even greater advancements are in store.”
