Various issues of prime concern to the region were thoroughly discussed during the meetings, which included the participation of the region’s countries in the World Summer Games of Athens 2011, in terms of the gains achieved in comparison with the former Games of Shanghai, 2007.

The attendees also conferred about the participation of the region’s countries in the upcoming World Winter Games in Korea, 2013 and the announcement of Los Angeles as the host of the World Summer Games, 2015.

The political upheavals that have recently engulfed the region were strongly present on the meetings’ table when the 2012 plan was being discussed.

Likewise, the Football Cup, Brazil 2013, was reviewed during the meeting in order for the regional presidency to draft an objective overall perspective concerning this global competition.

The meetings were concluded by adopting a number of recommendations to lay further concern to SO initiatives and working on increasing the scores of athletes and Unified Sports.
