SO Ambassador Princess Charlene of Monaco Hosts EKS Day Lunch

On Saturday September 24th Global Ambassador for Special Olympics Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco held a lunch on board The World in honour of Eunice Kennedy Shriver.

Special Olympics Global Ambassador H.S.H Princess Charlene of Monaco hosts lunch on board The World to celebrate Eunice Kennedy Shriver Day.

On Saturday September 24th Global Ambassador for Special Olympics Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco held a lunch on board The World in honour of Eunice Kennedy Shriver.

Speaking at the lunch in honour of Special Olympics founder, Eunice Kennedy Shriver on Saturday September 24th, H.S.H Princess Charlene of Monaco said “We must continue her commitment to improve and transform the lives of the 200 million people worldwide with intellectual disabilities who still live with diminished opportunities and social disrespect, who are often neglected and hidden away”.
Special Olympics is a movement that has always been very close to H.S.H Princess Charlene’s heart.  As a former athlete and Olympian H.S.H Princess Charlene of Monaco knows the power that sport can play in making incredible changes in the lives of people with intellectual disabilities while also transforming attitudes around the world.

Since joining the Special Olympics family H.S.H Princess Charlene of Monaco has delved into her role as global ambassador.  H.S.H Princess Charlene, who is also a member of the International Board of Directors, has been working tirelessly to help build more communities of respect, acceptance and inclusion for people with intellectual disabilities across the world.
