Held at the ‘Ajial’ school’s venues, the competitions involved 20 athletes and 20 partners, ages that ranged between 12-24 years old. Athletes’ families also attended the day in mass, reflecting the growth in participation by all SO constituents.

In Jordan, 100 individuals involving athletes and students gathered to partake in Unified Sports football and basketball competitions. The day started with warm up exercises after which athletes and partners were grouped in basketball and football unified teams. The competitions were held for two hours amid enthusiastic support and cheers from athletes’ families and volunteers. At the end of the day, everybody was handed over a certificate of participation along with a box of candies presented by ‘Zain’ company.

SO Tunisia held a day that included athletes and families who were spoken to by Chairman Tawfik Al Sherif of SO Tunisia on Eunice Kennedy Shriver and the life-long prominent role she played in serving individuals with intellectual disabilities. The attendees were also lectured in intellectual disability and general hygiene. The day was concluded by honoring one of SO Tunisia’s medalists in Athens-2011.

Pamphlets in both Arabic and English were handed out during the campaign by SO athletes and their family members.
