East Asia

Special Olympics works closely with its five accredited programs in East Asia to offer summer and winter sports for more than 1.09 million athletes with intellectual disabilities in the region. The 12th Special Olympics World Summer Games was successfully held in Shanghai, China in 2007. The 10th World Winter Games will be held in PyeongChang, Korea from Jan. 30 to Feb. 06, 2013.
