Tom Golisano Gives $12 million to Expand Special Olympics Health Services Worldwide

Former President William J. Clinton announced today that businessman and philanthropist Tom Golisano will provide $12 million to expand Special Olympics’ health-related services to people with intellectual disabilities - one of the largest and most medically underserved disability groups in the world – which will allow for the launch of a new Healthy Communities initiative.  The commitment was made at the opening of the 2012 Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) Annual Meeting.

Special Olympics and Lionbridge Expand Partnership to Offer Special Olympics Website in Six Languages

Lionbridge Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: LIOX), a leading provider of translation, development and testing solutions, today announced that it has expanded its long-standing relationship with Special Olympics Europe/Eurasia. With this partnership, Lionbridge will now donate translation services for Special Olympics’ global website, www.specialolympics.org, across multiple languages – expanding from English to now also include Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, and Spanish.
