November 12, 2011
Metro Panama Unified Basketball Team began training right after the 2011 World Summer Games. They have been selected to represent Panama at the 2012 Central American and Caribbean Games, which will take place on the 13th – 21st of April in Panama City.
Focused Training
Danny Reyes, who is a former athlete and currently an assistant coach for the team, says one of the greatest challenges some of the team members face is not becoming over confident and hence their training sessions are focused on ever improving their conditioning and skills.
Meanwhile, Ada Ubeto was on site to train the volunteer gymnastics officials who will be judging at the Rhythmic Gymnastics competition during the 2012 Central American and Caribbean Games. Ada is the Coordinator of Gymnastics for SO Venezuela and she recently represented SOI as an international judge during the World Summer Games Gymnastics Competition in Athens.
