The exhibition, held 14 December, 2011, at the National Theatre in Podgorica, was part of events marking the presentation of the results of UNICEF Montenegro’s “It’s about Ability” awareness campaign. The campaign, launched in September 2010, aimed to promote the inclusion of children with disabilities into society. More than 100 national and international organizations, including Special Olympics Montenegro, participated in the campaign.  In November 2011 the impact of the campaign was assessed; the results were presented at the National Theatre, attended by Prime Minister Igor Luksic.   "The results and the continuity of the campaign make me personally very happy because we will further create new opportunities for the full inclusion of children with disabilities into our society," said the Prime Minister who supported the campaign.

All of the visitors to the National Theatre saw the photo exhibition which honored athletes with disabilities for their skills and achievements.  Special Olympics Montenegro was represented by athletes Ilda Grbovic, Ivan Stojanovic, Dusko Terzic and Petar Obradovic.  The exhibition photos of the athletes are the work of noted Montenegrin photographer Dusko Miljanic. The survey involved 1,000 households in Montenegro; the results, which revealed more acceptance of children with disabilities after the campaign, can be viewed on the UNICEF Montenegro website.
