Perfect Sense Digital

Perfect Sense Digital created the graceful, useful and forward-looking designs of the Special Olympics, R-word.org and EuniceKennedyShriver.org websites for Special Olympics over the last four years. Even more than the designs can show, Perfect Sense Digital has been an integral partner in the quickly evolving online presence of Special Olympics around the world.

A Partner in an Evolving Online World

The smart and easy-to-use design of the Special Olympics website debuted in late 2011 after almost a year of consultation and design work between Perfect Sense Digital and Special Olympics. The design incorporates numerous features that take the Special Olympics site to a new level.

On the new site, the pictures and news stories change depending on where in the world a visitor is coming from. Core content is available in six languages. Facebook and Twitter are not only deeply integrated but also targeted to each visitor's location.

All of the design and strategy work connected with the project was donated by Perfect Sense Digital.

Websites for the Movement

In 2008, when the movie "Tropic Thunder" stirred anger for its insensitive and relentless use of the word "retard," Perfect Sense Digital stepped in to create a new website called R-word.org. Perfect Sense created the ability for visitors all around the world to voice their outrage at the hurtful use of the words "retard" and "retarded" and did it over a weekend and at no cost to Special Olympics.

Since then, R-word.org has been revamped and expanded by Perfect Sense Digital, which has donated hundreds of hours of time for that project and others.

A touching and informative tribute to Special Olympics founder Eunice Kennedy Shriver debuted the year of her death in 2009 at www.eunicekennedyshriver.org. Again, Perfect Sense Digital made it easy for thousands of people to say online how much Mrs. Shriver meant to them.

And also in 2009, Perfect Sense Digital donated its design and engineering expertise to create a marketing website for A Very Special Christmas 7, contributing to the awareness and excitement around a fundamentally important source of funding for Special Olympics.

Defying Expectations

Georgie is emerging as the only bona fide athlete in the Seigenthaler-Hayes family. There is no sport he won’t try, no athletic endeavor he’s won’t pursue. No fear. No trembling. Just do it. That’s how George rolls.
