215 athletes take part in the
European Bowling Tournament in Paphos
Paphos Welcomes Special Olympics Athletes
215
athletes from 14 countries: Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia,
Finland, Great Britain, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Malta, Poland, Russia &
San Marino took part in the first European Bowling Tournament in Paphos,
Cyprus on October 21-26. Opening Ceremonies were held at the entrance
to the City Hall. Paphos City Mayor Office and Cyprus Sports Organization
as well as the Cyprus Bowling Federation were the main sponsors of the
event.
Successful Tournament
Special
Olympics Cyprus staff and volunteers organised an outstanding
Tournament.
Special thanks goes to Mr.Yannis Pannayi, President,
Dr Eleni Rossides, National Director and Giorgos Panayides, National
Administrator Special Olympics Cyprus as well as Elaine Twomey, SOEE CTAC
Chair and Technical Delegate for this fantastic event.
