Conference Objective

National Director Amal Mobadda of SO Egypt said the overall objective of the conference was to provide training for 150 volunteer doctors on various types of medical screening and disciplines contained within the Healthy Athletes program. According to Mobadda, screening 1622 SO Egypt’s athletes with intellectual disabilities was one of the conference’s objectives through which to familiarize the medical sector’s specialists and other concerned agencies with the concept of Special Olympics and relevant programs. Mobadda further stated that 50 athletes were, for the first time in the world of individuals with intellectual disabilities, subjected to cerebral and neurological screenings through one of the medical foundations that volunteered the service.
