For Immediate Release

CHERRY HILL, N.J. and PORTLAND, Maine – May 13, 2013 – TD Bank, America's Most Convenient Bank® (“TD”), will be joined by TD Ameritrade Holding Corporation (NYSE: AMTD) to support Special Olympics through its annual “Be a fan®” program, beginning May 13, 2013.

The “Be a fan” program encourages TD customers and employees to raise funds for their local Special Olympics programs. Last year, more than 165,000 wristbands were purchased by TD customers and employees, contributing to the more than $1.1 million raised for Special Olympics programs from Maine to Florida.

“Through our collaboration with Special Olympics, TD has a unique opportunity to make a positive impact for so many inspiring athletes,” said Fred Graziano, Head of Regional Commercial Banking for TD Bank. “Supporting Special Olympics reinforces TD’s commitment to diversity, and with our customers’ continued support, we are making a difference together.”

TD Ameritrade employees participate in Special Olympics across the U.S. not only by giving monetary contributions, but by volunteering their time as well. “An important part of our company’s core values is a strong focus on people and teamwork, and our work with Special Olympics brings those ideals to life. Our employees not only give from their pocketbook, but they also give their time to help create better experiences for other people,” said Katrina Becker, Managing Director, Communications and Public Affairs for TD Ameritrade. “We’re proud to be part of such an important organization, and we’re delighted to once again collaborate with TD Bank.”

Green and white wristbands, featuring TD Bank and Special Olympics logos as well as the “Be a fan” slogan, will be available for $5 each at all TD Bank stores. TD Bank customers and non-customers can also use Penny Arcade to count and donate their loose change with the standard fee being waived for non-customers.

The “Be a fan” program runs from May 13 through June 30, 2013.
