Tennis is a popular sport played at all levels of skill and by players of all ages. Every athlete aims in passing the ball to the opponent's side of the net, striking it with a tennis racquet. The sport emphasizes values, such as fair play, sportsmanship and respect for fellow competitors. Tennis is not only fun to play, but it is a lifetime sport activity that is fun to practice and fun to learn.

Más de 300 Atletas provenientes de los departamentos de San Miguel, Morazán, La Unión y Usulután; mostraron sus capacidades y talentos deportivos participando en las disciplinas deportivas de: atletismo, tenis, bochas, natación y demostración de Actividades Motoras.

Me llamo Juan Uriel Peñaloza López, y desde muy pequeño tuve la oportunidad de conocer el bonito deporte que es el tenis, desafortunadamente no era posible dedicarme como jugador por lo caro que resultaba así que decidí dedicarme como entrenador.View Story Me llamo Juan Uriel Peñaloza López, y desde muy pequeño tuve la oportunidad de conocer el bonito deporte que es el tenis, desafortunadamente no era posible dedicarme como jugador por lo caro que resultaba así que decidí dedicarme como entrenador. Al mudarme a San Luis Potosi mi hermano y yo tuvimos la oportunidad de conocer a Olimpiadas Especiales. Tengo la oportunidad de aprender de un grupo de atletas con discapacidad intelectual que siempre están dispuestos a seguir entrenando y mejorando, me llenan la pila y me ayudan a pensar 2 veces cada que quiero decir que no puedo. En lo personal el poder realizar entrenamientos y competencias unificadas es muy importante ya que ambos grupos se benefician, a unos les ayuda en su desarrollo personal y social y a otros les amplia la perspectiva de cómo convivir con personas con discapacidad intelectual.

Desde el viernes 25 de octubre y hasta el sábado 26 de octubre se estará celebrando en las instalaciones del Centro Nacional de Alto Rendimiento Deportivo (CeNARD) el Torneo Nacional de Tenis de OE Argentina-Ciudad de Buenos Aires 2013.View Story Desde el viernes 25 de octubre y hasta el sábado 26 de octubre se estará celebrando en las instalaciones del Centro Nacional de Alto Rendimiento Deportivo (CeNARD) el Torneo Nacional de Tenis de OE Argentina-Ciudad de Buenos Aires 2013. El mismo contará con la participación de +20 atletas provenientes de todos los rincones de la Argentina en lo que promete ser un evento sin igual para el Tenis de OE en la Argentina. El día de mañana más de 20 campeones entrarán a la cancha. Estamos seguros que serán muchos más los que saldrán del CeNARD siéndolo.

Florida State Summer Games

Special Olympics Florida’s Summer Games are the largest event on the calendar with athletes competing in athletics (track & field), bocce, cycling, soccer, tennis, and volleyball. This event is held annually at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex and kicks off with an exciting Olympic-style opening ceremonies featuring the final leg of the Law Enforcement Torch Run. It concludes on Saturday night with closing ceremonies and the much anticipated victory dance.

Pennsylvania State Summer Games

The Special Olympics Pennsylvania Summer Games will be held at Penn State University in State College. The event will together over 2,000 athletes and 750 coaches from across the state. This is our largest event of the year. The Summer Games will feature three days of intense competition in aquatics, athletics, basketball, bowling, equestrian, golf, gymnastics, softball and tennis. Massachusetts State Summer Games

The official start of the Special Olympics Massachusetts Summer Games begins with the traditional Opening Ceremony at Boston University. Highlights include remarks from special guests, one of our athletes acting as master of ceremonies, the Parade of Athletes, the Special Olympics Massachusetts flag relay and presentation and finally the culminating Torch Lighting Ceremony, by the Guardians of the Flame–our partners in the LAW ENFORCEMENT COMMUNITY. Saturday morning the games will begin on the grounds of the Harvard University athletic facilities, surrounding historic Harvard Stadium. Over 1,900 ATHLETES compete in the sports of aquatics, gymnastics, powerlifting, tennis, track & field and volleyball.

Virgina State Summer Games

Summer Games, our largest State Games, is nothing short of legendary thanks to the overwhelming support of more than 3,000 local volunteers who brave the summer heat to assist more than 1,300 Special Olympics Virginia athletes each June. Athletes come from all corners of the state to compete in bocce, swimming, softball, track & field, bowling, powerlifting, and tennis at the University of Richmond and surrounding venues in Richmond. We are fortunate to have all of our Event Volunteer needs assigned for this year's Summer Games. We are currently recruiting Volunteer to Cheer fans and Medical Team members!

Northern California State Summer Games

Summer Games is the culminating competition for our spring sports season and is one of the largest Special Olympics sporting competitions in Northern California. After weeks of training and competing at a Regional competition, athletes will compete in aquatics, bocce, tennis or track & field. World Summer Games Los Angeles 2015

In July of 2015 more than 7,000 athletes from 170 countries will come to Los Angeles, California for the Special Olympics World Summer Games and enjoy 10 days full of joy, friendship and competition. Athletes will compete in 22 sports. The event expects to attract 500,000 spectators and 30,000 volunteers and 3,000 coaches.
