This week, Uvurkhangai Province held its first Special Olympics games, a two-day event with 36 athletes competing in shot-put, long jump, track, powerlifting, volleyball, and basketball.

Special Olympics is excited to announce our partnership with the Jr. NBA. The Jr. NBA presented by Under Armour is the league’s youth basketball participation program that teaches the fundamentals and values of the game at the grassroots level to help grow and improve the youth basketball experience for all.
I have loved basketball since I was 8 years old. I have grand mal seizure, ADHD; I’m currently in high school. Growing up was really hard for me because I didn’t have any friends at all, & I would get bullied a lot.

I have been coaching bowling Special Olympics Bowling for the past 3 years. This past spring I stepped forward and began coaching a basketball team.
Hi my name is Kelly Jacobs. I'm 40 years old and I am one of the athletes of Special Olympics. I enjoy basketball and soccer.
I work at an ARC home and started a small basketball game for a few of the houses before I found out about special olympics in our area. I got a few of the guys from my house interested and one of the women just went to watch.
I got involved in Special Olympics Florida thanks to two friends of mine. I am a Special Olympics athlete for Seminole County. I got involved in Special Olympics in the year 2009 and I am still part of Special Olympics Seminole County.

Umair's siblings do not have any disabilities and his mother was very worried as he was unable to cope with his work. After joining Special Olympics Pakistan, a noticeable change could be seen as he made many new friends on the grounds.
