Robbie Knodle goes to World games in South Korea

By Anne Knodle

Robbie is 26 years old and works at Krogers Harpers Pointe Cincinnati, Ohio. Robbie was born in Scottsdale Arizona and has moved with his family from as far west as Mission Viejo, California to his home today in Cincinnati,Ohio.

All of these moves have made him who he is today. The 4 years he lived in Sandy, Utah introduced him to mountains. Robbie learned how to ski at Snowbird through the adaptive ski program. He had to ski fast to keep up with his brothers Brian and Michael.

Upon Robbie's move to Cincinnati, Ohio he met Janet Smith, Director of Special Olympics Hamilton County, who introduced him to the Special Olympics Hamilton County Unified Ski Team. This team has continued his love of skiing and helped him mature into the young man he is today.

For Robbie, competing is being part of the team, love of the sport and the people he is with. SOHC and the Knodle Family are very thankful to the Daniel and Susan Pfau Foundation for sponsoring Robbie for the World Games.

About Anne Knodle: Hi, ask anyone I'm best know as Robbie's Mom. I'll be on the side lines in South Korea cheering for Robbie and Team USA. Go USA
