A Coach and a Father Figure to all

By Elin Kjølseth

Coach Stål Rune, with his daughter, who will compete in SpeedSkating, as will his foster son.

Stål Rune is the Speed Skating Coach for Team Norway competing in PyeongChang 2013. He is father of an athlete, and a foster father to another, and now he is working for Special Olympics Norway to help the organisation find vital sponsors. Stål is an amazingly passionate man and has an amazing impact on the lives of not only his children but the other 24 athletes he coaches as well. While many of the athletes are travelling to South Korea without their family, Stål will be like a father to them all.

About Elin Kjølseth: I am Marketing and Corporate Relations Manager for Special Olympics Norway.
