Cultural Sharing at the GYAS

By Rebecca Ralston

On the second day of the 2013 Special Olympics World Winter Games, youth leaders from around the world came together as part of the 2013 Global Youth Activation Summit to celebrate the rich cultural history and diversity of the Global Youth Summit participants. Cultural sharing night is a great way for the youth participants to get to know each other and learn more about different cultures from around the world. At each Special Olympics World Games, the Global Youth Activation Summit brings together young people with and without intellectual disabilities from around the world who are committed to inclusion and acceptance in their schools and communities through Special Olympics.
