The Unified Basketball Tournament at New Paltz

By Zach Morales

On Sunday, March 10th, we went to the Unified Basketball Tournament at New Paltz, NY. The athletes were Felix, Rafael, Zach, Brenda, Linda, Molly, Kathy, Abigail, Hunter, Mike and Jacob. We had our own room downstairs to leave our belongings there during the basketball tournament. We went upstairs to the gymnasium. We sat on the bleachers, and we watched the teams competing against each other, trying to score the points by getting the basketball through a high net. At 12:00, we played against the teams, trying to score the points by trying to get the ball through a high net. We played several games for six minutes. Afterwards, we received bronze medals because we came in third place. Then, we took our belongings from downstairs, and we went to the school bus. We went to McDonald's to eat something. It was a very exciting and great game on that day. My favorite part about the basketball was playing against the teams and trying to score the points.
