Atletas corren 5k en Cacún

By Paola Martinelli

Sixteen Special Olympics Quintana Roo athletes participated in  a traditional race at the National Polytechnic Institute 11K , on Sunday May 19. The start and finish were at the Paseo Kukulcan Km 12 Hotel Zone in Cancun. After 5 km of effort, our athletes were happy to enjoy the triumph of reaching the goal, along with 500 other runners. With these actions, they contributed to expanding the awareness of the inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities in our community. The Organizing Committee headquarters 11K Cancun provided all the financial facilities for the participation of our athletes, but also cared about offering a warm welcoming atmosphere.
