Cook County Lions Club Plunge for Special Olympics

By Tamara Ivetic

Four members of the Cook County Lions Club took the plunge into freezing cold Lake Michigan in February 2014 to support Special Olympics of Illinois.

On February 22, 2014, for the third year in a row, the Cook County Lions Club has plunged into freezing cold Lake Michigan to support Special Olympics of Illinois. Over the last three years the Cook County Lions Club has raised over US$9,100 by doing the Polar Plunge. Our members love this event and are looking forward to participating next year. We are always looking for people to join our polar plunge team. If interested, please contact us at cookcountylions@gmail.com.

About Tamara Ivetic: I am the current membership chairperson the Cook County Lions Club.
