Welcome Caribbean's New Law Enforcement Torch Run Leader

300x200 Stephanie Lindsay
Superintendent Stephanie Lindsay of Jamaica is the first director of the Caribbean region of the International Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics and is now a member of the LETR International Council. Her appointment honors her 19 years of volunteer service to the LETR. She is also the Caribbean region’s first director and the first person from the Caribbean to hold a director-level position for the LETR.

“When I joined the LETR in 1996 it was a job that I had to do,” said Lindsay, a member of the Jamaica Constabulary Force. "But today, working through LETR and Special Olympics is a passion for me, just knowing that I serve a group of people who really appreciate the little things we do to make a difference.”

Lindsay previously served the LETR as a coordinator at the divisional and branch levels and chaired the LETR 5K committee at the Jamaica Constabulary Force's Community Safety Branch.
