Israeli Sports Awards 2015 Recognize Three Special Olympics athletes
The prestigious Israeli Sports Award 2015 has recognized three Special Olympics athletes--Maya Hertz, Nadav Zarfati and Tal Rosenfeld--for representing their country so outstandingly at the World Summer Games in Los Angeles last summer.
The athletes competed in tennis and cycling.
The ceremony, held at the National Theater "Habima" in Tel Aviv, was held by the Ministry of Culture and Sports and Toto-Winner, attended by Minister of Culture and Sports Ms. Miri Regev and all the sports officials in Israel.
At this event prizes were awarded for outstanding athletes from all sports organizations in Israel in 2015.
The three Special Olympics athletes were recognized and honored by hundreds of spectators in the hall and many thousands of people who watched the live broadcast on the main sport channel in Israel.
The spectators in the hall gave our athletes a big and long and loud applause, and the Sports and Culture Minister stood up to shake their hands and congratulate them.
At the end of the ceremony, the Minister was very happy to be photographed as a souvenir with our athletes.
The award was given to the athletes by Mr. Yossi Sharabi, CEO of the Ministry of Culture and and Sports, and the famous sport TV broadcaster, Mr. Amichai Spiegler.
It was a unique and exciting evening which gave more appreciation and recognition for Special Olympics Israel.
