Why Toby Took Up Snowshoeing

Toby with all his medals from 2017 Winter Games in Maryland
“Toby said people should try snowshoeing because it helps your legs to become stronger, you lose weight faster, and you meet or become reacquainted with friends," Toby's mom said, when asked why he took up a new sport this year. Toby also said he wanted to see how it would feel to try something new. It was really cool, hew said, as he flashed a big smile. Toby's ambition, athletic drive and motivation is an inspiration. Typically not a morning person, he set his alarm to be up in time for practice on Sunday mornings at beautiful Centennial Park. He never wanted to miss a practice. His work paid off during the Winter Games in his hme state of Maryland. There, Toby was proud to win three gold medals - in the 50 meter, 100 meter, and 200 meter; as well as a silver medal for the 4X100 Traditional Relay.
