Disqualification Procedures
All Special Olympics Golf competitions shall be governed by the Special Olympics Summer Rules. Article IX of those rules covers Golf specifically. Infractions of specific Special Olympics Rules and Guidelines, as well as The Rules of Golf, may result in disqualification of a competitor or competitors. Rules infractions that result in disqualification are clearly stated in both of these resources.
In accordance with the Rules of Golf, "A penalty of disqualification may in exceptional individual cases be waived, modified or imposed if the Committee considers such action warranted. Any penalty less than disqualification shall not be waived or modified."
