For the twenty-sixth consecutive year, Special Olympics and The Procter & Gamble Company (P&G) have joined forces. P&G will launch the annual cause marketing promotion with its brandSaver coupon insert in over 55 million newspapers across the United States on Sunday, 25 December 2005. The insert includes more than US$57 worth of savings on such P&G products as Tide, Downy, Folgers, Pampers and Charmin.
For each participating product purchased from 25 December 2005 to 31 January 2006, P&G will donate 10 cents to Special Olympics, up to US$750,000 total. Consumers will save on their favorite brands while helping dedicated athletes experience their moment of triumph. This year, P&G has brought CVS on board to help consumers save more money and raise additional funds for Special olympics athletes. From 25 December to 31 December 2005, CVS will donate 25 cents to Special Olympics for every P&G product purchased, up to US$100,000 total.
Products featured in the insert include Olay® Hand and Body lotion, Swiffer® WetJet® Starter Kit, and Pampers® Diapers jumbo pack. Special savings will be found for such popular brands as Tide®, Downy, Folgers®, Charmin®, CoverGirl®, Olay, Dawn®, Pantene®, Pringles®, Cascade®, Old Spice®, Bounty®, Iams®, Head & Shoulders®, Sure®, Bounce®, Secret®, Metamucil®, Vicks®, Pepto-Bismal®, Thermacare®, Puffs®, Always, Crest® and Tampax®.
