2005 Torch Run Photo Contest
The International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) celebrated its five-year anniversary of hosting an LETR photography contest. These winning photos were selected from hundreds of images submitted by Torch Run programs from all over the world. Judging took place at the IACP headquarters in Alexandria, Virginia USA.
"Each year this contest is a reminder of the immeasurable benefits this program offers to both the participating officers and the community they serve," said the IACP. "Thank you to all the agencies that participated this year — the choices were difficult to make."
Photographs could be submitted in either of the following two categories:
- Law enforcement as the guardians of the flame — personnel carrying the torch, interacting with communities, raising funds and awareness of the events, etc.
- Law enforcement in support of the Special Olympics athletes themselves — personnel in interaction with athlete(s)
