Future Special Olympics Star!

Lucas accepting his first ribbon at a Young Athletes Program

Just wanted to share a picture of my son, Lucas, who participated in his first Special Olympics Young Athletes last week. I had never heard of this program and thought we wouldn't be able to join until he was 8. I was so thrilled when I showed up and saw all the young participants and volunteers. It was a beautiful day, full of smiles and laughter. Even at the young age of three, all the little ones were cheering their teammates on. It was a blast. We are looking forward to more events like these and are hoping to volunteer soon.
