Kermesse Fundraiser Helps Mexico City Subprograms Go to National Games

By Paola Martinelli

A Kermesse fundraiser was held for Special Olympics Mexico City to raise money for their athletes to participate in the National Games in Oaxtepec, Morelos. Many subprograms participated in the fundraiser to help send their delegations to the National Games and give their athletes a chance to compete in the 2015 Special Olympics World Summer Games in Los Angeles. During the Kermesse fundraiser young people danced and enjoyed themselves. Many people participated in raffles, enjoyed good food, played carnival games and went before a judge to get “married,” which resulted in great time.
