Meeting and Getting to Know Special Olympics World Winter Games Athletes

By Caitlynn Cantrell and Stanley Stimson

On January 30th 2013 we got to go to the Gangneung sports venue. While we were there we got the awesome opportunity to meet up with many World Winter Games Athletes. At this sports venue there were multiple sports being played. The first Athlete that we interviewed was competing in floor hockey. This athlete's name was Alexander from South Austria. He has been apart of Special Olympics for two years. Alexander competes not only in floor hockey but football as well. His favorite part of the 2013 Special Olympics games here in the Republic of Korea was the opening ceremonies.
