Revealing the Champion Inside All of Us

By Donna Lamprecht

As an employee of MTM Recognition for over 23 years I've had the unique opportunity to get a first-hand look into the lives of champions; champions from across the globe, each reaching the pinnacle of success in their respective fields. From exemplary service or sales achievement to extraordinary feats of valor in the sports arena, I've observed remarkable courage and commitment – the kind that wins the ultimate “prize”. Earlier this month, I attended the 2013 Special Olympics World Winter Games in PyeongChang, Korea, one of many World Games I have enjoyed over the years. I looked forward to the event with great anticipation as we once again sponsored the medals and ribbons, and presenting those awards to the athletes was high on my priority list. During these Games, I learned a few things that would reshuffle my priority list and forever change my definition of a Champion.
