Special Olympics Croatia had a busy competition schedule, with events recently held in athletics, bowling and skating. In late March, an athletics competition was held for 30 athletes in Daruvar and organized in cooperation with the Center for Education Rudolf Steiner. Athletes came from Daruvar, Zagreb, Zajezda, Ozal and Velika Gorica. In early April, 26 teams from throughout Croatia participated in a championship bowling tournament. The tournament was held at the Green Gold Club in Zagreb and organized in cooperation with Special Club Luc. Also in April a championship was held for Special Olympics Croatian speed- and figure-skaters in Zagreb. Thirty-eight skaters from Zagreb, Zaprešić, Dugo Selo, Pula and Osijek participated. Special Olympics Croatia organized the skating competition in cooperation with the Center for Education Prekrižje and the Rehabilitation Center Zagreb. More than 50 volunteers helped with the three competitions.
