Special Olympics Region Capital Games, 2013

The 2013 Region Capital Special Olympics Games were held on 16, 17 and October 18. About 800 athletes with intellectual disabilities from Special Schools and Sports Clubs of the Capital City and interior of the country competed together with the coaches and the support of over 200 volunteers and families of competitors. Special Olympics Games have been declared Educational Interest by the Ministry of Education and Culture and Sports by the National Secretary of Sports. Available Sports were: Athletics, Football , Speed Skating, Artistic Gymnastics, Swimming, Tennis, Volleyball and Basketball . Voluntary support was provided by: Technical volunteers around 200. National School of Physical Education, National Police, Physical Education School of the National Armed Forces assisted in the Games.
