Special Olympics Serbia Swimmers Make a Splash

A national swimming competition for 160 Special Olympics Serbia athletes was held on 22 March 2014 in Zrenjanin. Male and female swimmers from 12 Special Olympics sports clubs throughout Serbia competed in the biggest national aquatics event of the year for people with intellectual disabilities. The competition had the full support of local government and was opened by Zlatana Antic, the city official who is in charge of youth and sports. The special guest at the event was Olympic swimmer Miroslava Najdanovski, who hails from Zrenjanin and represented Serbia at two Olympic Games and is still very active in the sport.
