Special Olympics unified team recognized by the Serbian Football Federation

Special Olympics Serbia was honored by the Serbian Football Federation in an award ceremony acknowledging achievements in Serbian football in 2013. Special Olympics Serbia was recognized for winning the Special Olympics European Unified Football Tournament in Warsaw, Poland in 2013. The Unified team will go on to compete in the Special Olympics Unified Cup to be held in Malaysia later this year. Federation president Tomislav Karadzic presented the plaque to Aleksandar Stanojevic, National Director, Special Olympics Serbia. The ceremony took place during the federation’s assembly on 18 March 2014 in Belgrade.
