Sean Bogart and his friend, Troy Sundwall, will be the only two triathletes from Connecticut competing in the 2014 Special Olympics USA Games this June in Princeton, N.J. Their friendship is a focus of the upcoming feature documentary, “Sean So Far", which is being made by filmmakers Richard and Didi Dobbs. With 28 years of footage, this story about Down Syndrome, perseverance, family and friendship will culminate with Sean and Troy's experience at the 2014 Special Olympics USA Games.
About Richard Dobbs and Didi Dobbs : Richard has been a member of the Directors Guild of America since 1998 and has directed 35+ episodes of Law & Order and Law & Order: SVU, and multiple episodes of various TV dramas, including The Cleaner for A&E. In 2013, he was won Best Director of a short film at The Boston International Film Festival. Didi recently co-wrote the award winning short comedy, “Local Commercial”, which has been very active on the film festival circuit. She and Richard have teamed up as writing partners on many short films, including a short documentary about sexual assault, “Duty Trumps Doubt”. She is a painter and cartoonist.
