MainStoriesReady to compete in Puerto Rico Ready to compete in Puerto RicoLisa Malmud and the Perfect Sense Digital team | sept. 20, 2012 | North America: Virginia Rose with some co-workers at Perfect Sense Digital Perfect Sense Digital couldn’t have been more excited about sending off our employee, Rose Pleskow to compete in the Special Olympics World Aquatics Invitational in Puerto Rico this week. Rose works in our Reston, Virginia office as a Design and Quality Assurance Intern. A big part of her job is to test how the websites we create function on mobile phones and other devices. Our globe-trotting athlete graduated from South Lakes High School here in town, and since coming to work with us last year, has become a key part of the Perfect Sense team. We value not only the work she does helping make websites run seamlessly, but also the energy and enthusiasm she brings to everything she does. We loved working with Rose on designing the banner that is pictured here. (You can see her standing in the front of the banner with some co-workers.) Both she and her coach were pleased to be able to bring it to Puerto Rico for the competition. While we’ve supported Special Olympics from the first day we started Perfect Sense, we've particularly enjoyed being part of Team Rose as she competes in a variety of sports both here in the U.S., and abroad. She participated in several events at the Special Olympics World Games in Greece last summer and won a Bronze medal in the 1500M Track and Field event. Rose is also a Special Olympics Global Messenger, and often speaks at local events. She’s been a Special Olympics athlete since 2007. While we couldn’t travel with Rose to watch her compete in San Juan, we’ve been cheering her on from the office in Reston.
