2010-Unity Cup Highlights
As the world focused on soccer (football) during the 2010 FIFA World Cup, two remarkable teams of athletes stepped onto the pitch in Cape Town, South Africa. A group of 16 Special Olympics athletes played alongside football legends and other celebrities in the inaugural Unity Cup Presented by Coca-Cola. Participants also included South African President Jacob Zuma, Clarence Seedorf of A.C. Milan and Coca-Cola Chairman Muhtar Kent. The match was played at Green Point Stadium just before the World Cup quarterfinal.
