-- SN – Supermarket News (US), 25 August --Bozzuto’s Raises $165,000 for Special Olympics
Bozzuto’s here, in concert with its IGA Hometown Wheels program, and the Hometown Foundation, raised $165,000 for the Special Olympics of Connecticut Sunday via its Dream Ride motorcycle event—$65,000 more than was raised by the event last year. Read more

-- Bristol Press (US), 24 August --Thousands ride for a dream
Thousands of motorcyclists rode for miles through the state Sunday to support the Special Olympics at the ninth-annual Dream Ride. The Dream Ride has raised more than $800,000 over eight years, all of which goes to the Special Olympics, and it has continued to grow, bringing in more people and donations. Read more

Residents on Staten Island find another good way to beat the heat this weekend while supporting a good cause. 12 year-old megan ajello and her family set up a lemonade stand in prince's bay to raise money for the Special Olympics. megan, who has cerebral palsy, had an important part in the fundraiser. Northeast Louisiana Special Olympics welcomes the World’s Largest Truck Convoy to the Ike Hamilton Expo Center Aug. 28-29. Each trucker donates $100 to Special Olympics to participate. Jalandhar, Aug 20 : The three-day 14th National level Special Olympics will be held at Jalandhar from November 6. -- Editor and Publisher (US), 20 August --'Chicago Sun-Times' Sharing Single-Copy Sales With Special Olympics
For every copy of the Chicago Sun-Times sold in stores or on the street Thursday, the newspaper is donating five cents to Special Olympics Illinois. The Sun-Times said it has pledged a minimum of $7,250 to the organization, but hopes to raise more than $10,000 from the single-copy sales. Read more
