Athlete's Health Remains Strong Months after Opening Eyes Intervention

Chih Hua Liu’s visit to Healthy Athletes at the 2009 World Winter Games ended in an ambulance ride to the emergency room with dangerously high intraocular pressure. With the help of medicated eye drops, his condition was brought under control. In October, Special Olympics East Asia followed up with Liu and found he was in excellent health and his Special Olympics experience had impacted him in other positive ways as well.
