Reaching New Heights

No Mountain Too High

This 26-minute video brings us along on the exhilarating ascent of Mt. Kilimnjaro by Special Olympics athletes Salihin bin Sinai of Singapore and Herith Suleiman of Tanzania. The expedition, led by long time Special Olympics supporter Michael Dee, took on the Western Breach route, known as the most breathtaking, yet challenging way to reach the peak. The steep, seven-hour climb leads through a breach in the crater wall made more precarious because of rocks dislodged by melting and retreating glaciers above the trail.
