“The International Floorball Federation and Special Olympics signed a Proclamation in 2011 strengthening co-operation between our organisations. Mika, Tero, Dominika and Nina are the first Special Olympics Floorball Ambassadors and their involvement will greatly enhance the fantastic sport of floorball within Special Olympics. Floorball is the latest sport to be added to the list of 30+ sports offered by Special Olympics. 2,000 Special Olympics athletes compete in Floorball in 17 countries worldwide. I have no doubt our new Ambassadors will ensure this number grows. Floorball will be one of the highlight sports of the upcoming 2013 Special Olympics World Winter Games taking place in Pyeong Chang, South Korea from January 29th to February 5th. Our sincere gratitude to the IFF and to Mika, Tero, Dominika and Nina from all at Special Olympics,” said Mary Davis, Managing Director, Special Olympics Europe Eurasia.
