Faith in the Line of Adversity

I've been involved in Special Olympics for 25 years. I'm very grateful for the opportunity of working and competing with many athletes and coaches. I was the first athlete to ever go to the State of the Union Address in 2010 and recently was inducted in the Special Olympics Hall of Fame in Utah! I've also done the National Games in 2006 and won all three medals in track and field. Also, I won gold and bronze medals at the 2009 World Winter Games in Idaho. Now, I'm about to become a coach for my team the University of Utah and help future athletes reach their goal as I have! Thank you Special Olympics for giving me the chance to show the imppssible can be achieved, just with a little bit of faith!

About Me:

I am involved with Special Olympics as a athlete, Global Ambassador and a volunteer with the organization in Utah. I spent 6 years with Special Olympics in Louisiana as an athlete and Global Ambassador there (1988-1998) Then in 2003 I moved to Utah and joined Special Olympics Utah in 2005 with the University of Utah Team in which I'm currently still involved.
