Special Olympics Teams - Country and City NSW Australia celebrate the inaugural Special Olympics Trin Taber Cricket Cup at Donald Bradman Oval in Bowral NSW
The game of Cricket is alive and rapidly growing across Special Olympics Australia. A new match is played annually between teams from Country area's and City area's, bringing athletes together from different clubs to enjoy the game they love. The Special Olympics NSW Trin Taber Cup is now a high priority for our cricket athletes each year. The Cup has been named in recognition of dedicated volunteering by Ms Trin Taber of the NSW South Coast Special Olympics region. Ms Taber, who is a current Special Olympics NSW Board member has been heavily involved with providing sporting opportunities for people with an intellectual disability on the NSW South Coast and assisting athletes across NSW to develop leadership skills for many dedicated years. At last years match, Ms Trin Taber was acknowledged and received many cheers, hugs and thanks for her amazing work and dedication to Special Olympics. Thank you Trin The Trin Taber Cup for 2013 is fast approaching. Good luck - be brave and enjoy the match all.
