Special Olympics Athlete earns exemption to compete in World Junior Golf Championships

Wyatt Iles, is an eleven year old Special Olympics Athlete living in Claremont, California. Diagnosed with autism, Wyatt Competes and practices with Special Olympics in the sport of golf. Wyatt is one of only 18 junior golf enthusiasts throughout the entire United States, selected to the 2013 Tiger Woods Foundation National Junior Golf Team. Members of this team are selected based on golfing ability and school academic performance. As a selected member of this team, Wyatt has earned an exemption into the Callaway Junior Golf World Championship Tournament, held annually in San Diego, California. Wyatt will represent the Tiger Woods Foundation at this prestigious junior golf world championship event. Wyatt and his family are especially grateful to Special Olympics for affording him the opportunity to both discover and develop his interest and skill-set in golf.
