LPGA golfer Belen Mozo hosts golf clinic to kick off Special Olympics Golf Knoxville

Special Olympcs Athlete Alex Notte and LPGA Golfer Belen Mozo
This past February, gracious and lovely LPGA golfer Belen Mozo responded to Special Olympics golfer Alex Notte's request to play golf, meet his friends and attend Senior Prom. She said "yes" to the YouTube invitation prepared by his sister. The weekend between 2 spring tournaments for Mozo she spent the day golfing, hosting a clinic-fundraiser for Special Olympics Tennessee Golf and then honoring Alex as his date for high school Prom. It was a wonderful day for Alex, his family and his golf community at Gettysvue Golf and Country Club,Knoxville Tn. Alex began participating in Special Olympics golf last year and qualified for Level 1 Skills . Monday July 15th Alex will participate in his next level of competition on the course at Harrison Bay, Chattanooga with partner Louise Ball. Alex practices golf as often as he can and has found a greatly desired source of fellowship and activity through the game of golf. With the support and enthusiasm of his big day Alex is smiling and dreaming big.
