Ten year old Anne Marie is a talented Gymnast who has been training with Special Olympics Malta since she was 5. Her story began when Yolanda Chircop, then Sports Director for Special Olympics Malta, noticed Anne Marie's abilities during a school program training session held at The Gym Stars Gymnastics Club in Tarxien. Yolanda saw great potential in Anne Marie and invited her to join the Special Olympics Malta gymnastics team. Since then she has achieved enormous success expertly guided by her coach Elaine Genovese. Her first experience internationally was at the Special Olympics Romania regional games in 2010 where she won 4 gold medals in beam, floor, vault & unified exercises.
