530 athletes participated in Special Olympics Cuba National Games

On the week of the 14 to 18 of April Special Olympics Cuba National Games took place in Ciego de Avila province. The Games welcomed 530 athletes from all over the country, 130 coaches and 150 volunteers, with an Inauguration Ceremony in the main Amphitheater of the city and with an audience of more than 600 spectators. It was a week filled with joy and sports were the athletes had the chance to showcase their incredible abilities. Furthermore, a Healthy Athletes clinic was organized that offered medical screenings and follow up to athletes, as well as a Family Forum were parents and family members exchanged experiences and ideas to support and strengthen the Special Olympics Program.
