Special Olympics-The highlight of Jimmy's life

My nephew had Williams Syndrome. He died last weekend at the age of 47. His fondest memories were of the things he got to do with Special Olympics. He played basketball, went on trips, competed in many sporting events and made friends. I think that is what he enjoyed the most. When he was with his friends from Special Olympics he felt at home. I'm so grateful for this group that gave a boy who spent most of his life at doctor's offices and hospitals a chance to forget all that for a short time every year and just have fun! His parents have requested in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Special Olympics. I am happy to honor their wishes.

About Me:

I am the proud but heartbroken Aunt of a young man with Williams Syndrome who died last weekend.
