Signing of agreement to develop bocce in Paraguay

Special Olympics Paraguay and the Paraguayan Bocce Federation (FPB) signed an agreement to promote the development of bocce for persons with and without intellectual disabilities in Paraguay. The beginnings of the practice of this sport in Paraguay date back to 2015, after an agreement with the Puerto Sajonia Sport Club.

This allowed adult athletes to return to sports and, a few years later, gave them the opportunity to return to an international competition. Thirty-five Special Olympics Paraguay athletes and Unified Partners practice bocce and, with this agreement, they expect to grow to 50.
