Special Olympics athletes took centre court once again at Europe's premier basketball league, Euroleague Final Four. Just before the Final Four Semi Final between CSKA Moscow and Lokomotiv Kuban, the teams were lead out by 11 Special Olympics young athletes and Unified teammates from both Poland and Germany at the Mercedes Benz Arena. It was an extraordinary experience and day for the athletes. After the on court appearance they took their VIP seats and enjoyed the match which was won by CSKA Moscow who then went on to become Final Four 2016 Champions. Euroleague Basketball have been a long time support of Special Olympics as they share the believe that everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy the game. The previous Thursday (May12), OneTeam‬ and Special Olympics Germany raised the curtain of the 2016 Final Four on a sunny day at ‪#‎FANZONE‬ Alexanderplatz in Berlin. One Team Ambassadors Viktor Khryapa of CSKA Moscow, Ekpe Udoh of Fenerbahce Instanbul, Evgeny Voronov of Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar along with One Team Global Ambassador Kyle Hines joined the session and worked together with the kids during the OT activities. Team building, communication and creativity were some of the life skills that participants worked on while they also had the opportunity to take autographs and make pictures with their favourite players at the end of the event.
